Frequently Asked Question

What’s included in our expeditions?
All our expeditions include guided instruction by an English speaking UK qualified guide, insurance, water, pick-up & drop-off from resort & all technical equipment.
Our half & single day expeditions include either a meal or a snack depending upon the duration.
Our multi day expeditions include lunch during the days on the water & breakfast, lunch & dinner when camping. Otherwise we will be staying close to restaurants where meals can be bought at a reasonable price.

How fit do I need to be?
All our expeditions are designed so that anybody of a reasonable fitness can undertake it, and enjoy it. So as long as you’re not a complete couch potato you don’t need to worry.
Our instructors are experienced in dealing with people of all abilities & our routes are adaptable to ensure they remain enjoyable.

What do I need to bring?
Have a look at our what to bring page for full details of the things you will need.

Why should I come kayaking with you rather than just renting a sit-on-top kayak from my resort?
Sit-on-top kayaks are a great way of enjoying the beach area around your resort. However, they are slow & hard to paddle so the distance you can cover is limited.
We use real sea kayaks that allow you to sit inside and have sealed compartments for equipment. Because of the shape of our kayaks we can paddle at a much faster rate with relative ease. This gives us opportunity to visit some of the more remote islands further off the coast.
We also provide you with insurance, European standard personal protective equipment & a UK qualified guide who is experienced in deep water rescues and tide & navigation techniques.

Will you pick me up from my resort?
Yes, just let us know where your staying when you book.

How far do you usually kayak in a day?
Most (full) days we aim to cover about 12km. This may be extended a little on the multi day expeditions to include more sight seeing. With a paddling speed of about 3km this allows us to spend some time chilling out on the beach or snorkeling.

Can I still come even if I can’t swim?
Yes. We provide buoyancy aids so if you fall out of the kayak you will float. Our instructors are very experienced at getting you back into the kayak easily.

Do I need insurance?
We provide insurance for all our guided expeditions (not rental). You will still need to take out your own personal holiday insurance to cover you time when your not with us.

I’ve got special dietary needs. Can you accommodate me?
No worries. Just let us know and we will pass this onto our chef.
